On October 11, 2021, IDC released the "China Semi-Annual Accelerated Computing Market (1H 2021) Tracker" report, which shows that the accelerated server market reached $2.38 billion (RMB 15.32 billion) in the first half of 2021, an increase of 85.11 TP3T year-over-year.
Among them, GPU servers remained dominant, capturing 91.91 TP3T of market share to $2.19 billion, up 82.21 TP3T year-over-year, while non-GPU-accelerated servers, such as NPUs, ASICs, and FPGAs, captured 8.11 TP3T of market share to $190 million at a growth rate of 127.11 TP3T.
In the first half of 2021, from the perspective of vendor sales, thebandwagonThe "Ninjas",Huawei Serverranked in the top three, occupying a market share of 70%; from the perspective of server shipments, Wave, Ning Chang and Anki ranked in the top three, occupying a market share of over 60%.
From an industry perspective, the Internet remains the largest purchasing industry, accounting for the overall acceleratedServer Market601 TP3T+ share, with 901 TP3T+ growth year-over-year to 2020.
In addition financials, services, telecom, manufacturing, and energy sectors all rose more than 501 TP3T.
From the point of view of the acceleration card, the procurement of 2020 is mainly focused on the acceleration server equipped with V100, V100S, A100 and T4, while Nvidia released new models of acceleration cards such as A10, A30, A40 and other new models of acceleration card part of the field has already begun to use.
IDC research found that in the first half of 2021, accelerated servers for inference workloads have reached 53.51 TP3T and are expected to exceed 601 TP3T by 2025.
IDC forecasts that China's accelerated server market will reach $10.86 billion by 2025. Of this, the GPU and non-GPU server market size is $8.29 billion and $2.56 billion, respectively.
